Join us.   Position Title: Operational Support Manager   Location: Irvine, CA, Las Vegas, NV or Eglin, FL   Work Arrangement: Remote / Hybrid, with up to 50% travel required and occasional weekend work based on business needs   Position Summary: The Operational Support Manager assists the Senior Operational Support Manager in leading a multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering essential support functions for flight operations. This role assists in strategic planning, supervises delegated activities, and ensures operational readiness and compliance. This position serves as a key advisor and may assume the Senior Operational Support Manager responsibilities in their absence. The role values diverse perspectives and fosters an environment where all team members can contribute effectively to mission success while upholding the highest standards of safety and integrity.   Required Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist in providing strategic and operational oversight by directing and managing the Operational Support section. Ensure alignment with organizational goals while supervising day-to-day activities that maintain readiness, compliance, and efficiency. * Assist in overseeing the Site Leads to maintain operational continuity, resolve location-specific challenges, and ensure adherence to organizational standards. * Assist in overseeing the Payload Lead to ensure proper integration, configuration, and operational readiness of all mission payload systems in alignment with organizational standards and mission objectives. * Assist in overseeing the Standards and Evaluation Specialist to ensure evaluation programs and operational standards are implemented consistently; review audit findings and drive corrective actions. * Assist in overseeing the Finance Specialist to maintain accurate budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation aligned with DoD contracting requirements. * Assist in overseeing the Deployment Coordinator in planning and executing CONUS/OCONUS deployments, ensuring personnel and equipment readiness. * Assist in overseeing the Training Specialist to maintain training syllabi, qualification programs, and compliance with regulatory frameworks. * Assist in overseeing the Aviation Safety Specialist to implement and monitor safety programs, risk management, and compliance with FAA/ICAO/DoD standards. * Work closely with Flight Operations leadership and other departments to integrate OS functions into mission planning and execution. * Assist in driving process optimization across all OS domains; implement lessons learned and best practices to enhance efficiency and safety. * May be required to deploy to operational locations to supplement crews, deliver on-the-job training (OJT), and assist with mission readiness activities. * Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support operational objectives. Required Skills/Qualifications: * Demonstrated expertise in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) sustainment, including lifecycle management, logistics, and integration of support functions across training, safety, and deployment operations. * Strong decision-making and prioritization skills in dynamic, high-tempo environments. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills/Qualifications: * Experience assisting with safety programs compliant with FAA, ICAO, and DoD frameworks. * Hands-on experience supporting CONUS/OCONUS deployments and logistics coordination. * Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation within DoD contracting environments. * Ability to assist in designing and implementing training programs that maintain compliance. Education:  * Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree preferred. * Equivalent military or civil aviation operational leadership experience may substitute for formal education. Clearance Level Required: Secret - Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance, as required for the role.   Travel Required: 25%-50%   Working Conditions: The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities. Work performed may be in a harsh climate and often in hazardous situations. While performing the duties of this position, one may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert or other environments.   Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: * Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, and lift a minimum of 35-50 lbs. * Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine. * Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work. Work Authorization Requirement: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.   Salary: $130,000-$165,000 annually Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
