We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Finance Administrator to join our team as an Operational Support Officer based in Underdale, SA. The successful candidate will support Operations Manager/Project Managers to ensure the financial administrative requirements of the contract are achieved for Downer to sustain growth and aid business performance.    The day to day   * Raise, receipt and manage purchase orders in accordance to procedure. * Ensure plant, labour and sub-contractor costs are distributed accurately * Monitor open commitments to ensure accuracy in accordance to procedures. * Support the operational team in meeting financial deadlines for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, EOM close out, results. * Update internal systems with financial data * Analyse data to identify over and under recoveries, and implement improvements * Ensure contractual obligations are met for progress claims, invoicing, payments. * Providing a great customer experience * Contribute ideas and learnings to the continuous improvement program that builds operational excellence * Implement and ensure compliance of all existing & new policies, procedures and regulations   What you’ll bring   * Diploma or related qualification in business administration and/or finance highly desirable  * Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures * Experience using financial software (preferably JDEGS) * Excellent analytical and numerical skills * Advanced MS Excel skills * Sharp time management skills * Strong ethics, with an ability to manager confidential data * Good communication and interpersonal skills * Problem-solving ability * Proactiveness and foresight   Downer is a company that believes people are our greatest asset.
