Job description: Purpose The incumbent will assist in deploying and supporting Mining Technology systems within the Mining Operations Department. This includes assisting with technology-driven initiatives that enhance productivity, safety, equipment utilization, as well as real-time reporting across mining operations. The role will also provide technical support to cross‑functional teams and contribute to building a data-driven, technology‑enhanced mining environment. Key Responsibilities The incumbent will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function. Contribute to the safety process improvements of the mine Successfully complete structured training programs and assessments across relevant OT systems, mining equipment and departments Enquire from all colleagues to develop skill transfer Critically assess all production processes for potential improvements Support departmental technology projects from concept through implementation. Support data collection, validation, and analysis to improve mining processes and decision-making Assist in troubleshooting system issues, coordinating with IT, Maintenance and other teams where necessary. Prepare and deliver periodic progress reports, technical summaries, training and project updates to stakeholders Present completed project outcomes to operational and management teams. Perform administrative duties related to OT documentation, change management, and system configuration updates. Other duties as directed by the Direct Supervisor Qualifications Grade12 Certificate Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent Member of EIZ Manual Driver’s License ZAQA Certificate Experience No previous work experience required however exposure to open pit operations will be an added advantage BEHAVIOURAL TRAITS Strong team ethic Ability to work independently Strong time management and communication (verbal and written) skills Methodical approach to everyday tasks and problem solving OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to work under pressure Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Must be dependable and self-motivated Excellent computer and writing skills Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to interact with people of different cultures Accurate and precise attention to detail Unquestionable integrity Work independently and as part of a team.
