About the Client Our client is a UK-licensed acquiring institution and a principal member of Visa and Mastercard. The company operates as a fast-growing payments scale-up, providing card acquiring services to merchants across various risk tiers. As the business expands, the organisation is strengthening its compliance and AML framework in preparation for larger regulatory oversight and increased operational scale. Role Overview The Operations & Account Manager will combine three essential functions — onboarding, payment operations, and account support. This role ensures smooth client onboarding, merchant setup in the gateway, ongoing transaction monitoring, and client communication after go-live. Over time, the position will evolve into a more specialized structure, opening a path to Team Lead Operations or Senior Account Manager. Key Responsibilities Conduct initial KYC/KYB checks and prepare applications before compliance review. Set up merchant accounts in the gateway, configure routing, currencies, and settlement options. Monitor transactions, review declines, and assist with reconciliation processes. Provide post-launch account support, coordinate with Risk, Compliance, and Tech teams, and manage basic client requests. Document internal processes and handle first-line technical questions, escalating issues when needed. Requirements 2–4 years of experience in payments, acquiring, PSP, or fintech operations. Hands-on experience with KYC/KYB and basic compliance workflows. Solid understanding of payment flows and gateway mechanics. Experience with reconciliation, settlements, or chargebacks is a plus. English Upper-Intermediate (the role involves communication with international clients). Key Soft Skills Structured thinking and strong multitasking abilities. Ownership mindset and accountability for end-to-end processes. Clear and confident client communication. Technical literacy and comfort working with dashboards and gateway tools.
