SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a busy administrative role
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Work accurately and have the ability to plan work, anticipate, take initiative, and be a team player.
  • Dutch speaking
  • Good working knowledge of English and able to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to maintain a professional approach when dealing with employees and third parties
  • Experience in a similar maritime-related role
  • Knowledge of accounting systems
Responsibilities
  • General office/reception work, including, but not limited to, assisting the administration team in answering the phone, processing mail and sending parcels with relevant couriers. Ordering office supplies and groceries when needed. Arranging and maintaining contacts with suppliers.
  • Assisting with administration and the living facilities for our crew.

· Processing the Daily Progress Reports (DPR)

  • Arranging airline tickets, accommodation and assisting with the administration of commercial vehicles
  • Assist with the administration of purchase orders, maintain supplier invoices and payment details, and process credit card receipts and claims.
  • Assisting the Operations department in dealing with the crew, including arranging urgent appointments and assisting where necessary.
  • Assist in the administration of garment orders for crew members and mechanics.
