DESCRIPTION

Vancouver based company in the financial services industry is looking to hire an Operations Administrator to join their team. This is a full time, 100% based in office, with the opportunity for hybrid once trained and established. This is an 18-month contract role, with a strong chance of extension.
Salary: $60,000 – 70,000
Location: Downtown Vancouver
Work Hours: Mon - Fri 7 am - 3:30 pm

Main duties of the role:

  • Setting up individual securities on Security Master
  • Processing trades, corporate actions, book value adjustments, ROCs (return of capital)
  • Revenue reporting
  • Producing client reports: Quarterly, Year-End and Tax Reporting, CRM2 reporting
  • Broker/Dealer month-end statements
  • Booking FX rates, Monitor operational deadlines and ensure compliance with internal and external policies.
  • Private Placement/New Issue purchases
  • Pooled funds knowledge

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in investment industry (either brokerage or investment management).
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professionalism with a positive attitude
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate and work well within teams, and take direction
  • Client service experience
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, set and meet deadlines
  • Must possess excellent Computer skills - MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience with Dataphile, Harmony, Adobe is an asset
  • Strong work ethic, accountable and responsible
  • CSC. Other CSI or industry courses are an asset but not required
  • Post-secondary education
