Pathmaker Service Co Ltd is looking for Operations Supervisor and Trainer for Casing Running Services. Pathmaker is family owned and operated and has been proudly serving Alberta and BC’s Oil and Gas Industry for over 40 years. This position provides a unique opportunity to work both in our shop, focusing on building, repairing developing procedures for Casing Running Tools (CRTs), power tongs and other equipment and services, as well as in the field operations for power tongs, CRTs and computer torque monitoring. Applicants MUST live in Grande Prairie, AB. Employees are required to work at remote location sites supervising trainees installing casing or tubing on drilling or service rigs. Individuals need experience running power tongs, Volant or DrawWorks Tools, thread supervising and running computer torque monitoring systems. When not training individuals in the field candidates will be required to work in the shop Monday- Friday, 9am- 5pm.
As a Trainer and Operations Advisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with management leaders to intake, document, diagnose, and repair
equipment.
- Perform general inspections of the shop and equipment.
- Build and service Casing Running Tools.
- Assist in creating and developing policies and procedures.
- Oversee equipment inventory and organization.
- Adhering to traffic laws and driving responsibly at all times when driving
Pathmaker vehicles.
- Following site-specific practices, rules, and safety orientations.
- Upholding company policies and safety practices.
- Power tong operations as needed.
- Computer torque monitoring as needed.
- Thread supervision as needed.
- Field training power tong, crt, computer torque operators
- Managing field personal
- Audit field personal
Requirements:
- Forklift experience is preferred.
- Casing running experience required.
- Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of connection running procedures, torque tables and API standards is an asset, but not required.
- Mechanically inclined
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, while performing required tasks.
- Must have a strong attention to detail, and be well organized.
- Must be able to work well in a team setting and independently.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must have steel-toed work boots and hard hat.
- Rig experience is an asset, but not required.
