Description

What we do?

Fire is an embedded payments services provider. We empower businesses to get paid, make payments, and automate their payment processes by offering integrated access to a range of payment services.

Regulated in both Ireland and the UK, Fire is a member of multiple payment schemes and networks across the UK and Europe. As an established payment services provider, we work with thousands of businesses and some of the region’s largest financial institutions to co-create and deliver innovative payment solutions that drive efficiency, scalability, and customer value.

What is the role?

We are looking to recruit an analyst to join our Operations team. As an Operations Analyst you will be working closely with members of the Operations team as well as other stakeholders from across the company. You will have the opportunity as part of this role to learn and develop your skills in Payment processing, Transaction monitoring, and Operational Compliance.

The role entails:

  • Carry out daily payment processing and reconciliation activities.
  • Investigate exceptions ensuring they are processed in accordance with the standards.
  • Identify and investigate suspected fraudulent activity including production of suspicious activity reports.
  • Carry out transaction and event monitoring in accordance with AML policies.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of operational processes and procedures.

What should you have?

  • Have at least two years’ experience in a business environment, ideally in the areas of treasury or operations.
  • Have a degree in Business, Arts, Finance, or some other related field.
  • Be analytical and make fact-based decisions.
  • Have strong attention to detail, be able to follow documented procedures and be a clear and concise communicator.
  • Be self-motivated. Fire encourages our team to find better ways to do things and never accept “that’s just how it’s done”.
  • The ideal candidate would have a strong interest in the evolving fintech/financial services industry.
