Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an Operations Lead to work for our client within the financial services sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid based in London.
As an Operations Lead you will be responsible for setting up and sending out corporate action information to clients accurately and in a timely manner. You will manage the election process for a corporate action through to deadline, balancing log and short positions and sending instructions to the local agent bank. The successful candidates will understand the different types of corporate action event and their nuances. managing client, firm risk during the lifecycle of the corporate action event.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing a strong relationship with stakeholders
  • Developing relationships with all the agent banks, registrars, and exchanges
  • Collecting any required legal or jurisdictional documentation
  • Providing input into new service level agreements
  • Liaising with legal around restrictions
  • Communicating with external agents and internal business units
  • Dealing with ad hoc requests from a variety of different business units across the client e.g. client service groups, private wealth management and financial controllers, as and when they arise
