JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in sanction screening
  • Strong understanding of SWIFT
  • Solid knowledge of payments and SWIFT
  • Knowledge of international sanctions and compliance policies would be a plus
  • Knowledge of various systems such as ESF Pelican, PMG, Swift Alliance, IntelliTracs, AS400 would be an advantage.
  • Self-motivated individual with good time management skills
  • Team player and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical and excellent attention to detail
  • Innovative mindset to improve processes to minimize risk and increase efficiency
  • 5-day work week which includes weekends and selected public holidays (on a rotational basis) (details to be discussed during interviews)

    1st shift: 7.30am – 4.00pm / 8.30am – 5.00pm

2nd shift: 11am – 7.30pm / 11.30am – 8.00pm

Responsibilities
  • Screening of all blocked inbound and outbound messages held by Sanction Screening platform against sanctioned regulatory lists.
  • Releasing of false positives on a timely basis and ability to prioritize time sensitive transactions during APAC hours.
  • Analyse flagged transactions prior to releasing or rejecting real time or hold for further investigation by utilising various internal and external systems in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Gather additional information, review supporting documentation and analyse data to assess the legitimacy of the transaction
  • Escalate potential matches to Sanction Screening Governance team for their review when necessary
  • Investigate payments messages that have issues within the payment process and ensure all investigation are monitored, follow up and resolved.
  • Provide first point of contact support for email and/or SWIFT correspondence and ensure all queries from both internal and external clients are acted upon in a timely and professional manner
  • Support the timely and accurate completion of business processes and procedures according to Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements.
  • Staying abreast on industry regulations, best practices and emerging trends related to sanction screening
  • Proactively identify trends and patterns to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of monitoring activities
  • Report /escalate risk issues or process gaps identified
  • Assist in UAT, BCP testing and other ad-hoc projects
