POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Commercial and Accounts Manager, the Operations Analyst will support the Manager with various functions related to cargo importation, commercial analytics, inventory level reconciliations and monitoring as well as updating customer information in our fuel management and distribution system.
This is a 12-month contract position, located in our St. John’s, NL office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Business degree or diploma, an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience working in a similar role.
  • Experience with collecting and analyzing data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer management skills, able to interact with customers and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Capable of working under minimal supervision, independently and as a part of a team.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven, team focused environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, data analysis and reporting programs.

Responsibilities
  • Cargo Importation – supports the Manager with the coordination, collection and organization of critical information related to importation of cargo.
  • Commercial Analytics – works with the account management team to update, analyze and track commercial KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to ensure relevant and timely information is available to key stakeholders.
  • Inventory level reconciliations – communicates with fuel storage attendants across the province to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies as well as assists in the periodic fuel reconciliation process.
  • Fuel Management System – supports the operations team in ensuring customers are appropriately allocated in our fuel management system as well as troubleshoots any customer issues reported.
  • Customer liaison – Works with the account and commercial management teams to play a crucial role in triaging and managing recurring customer requests related to allocations, payment, receivables and credit.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests.
  • Other duties as required.
