Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Act as the APAC primary Point of Contact (PoC) for Global Precious Metals.
  • Build relationships with Sales & Trading in all locations (Singapore, UK, NY, Toronto) to facilitate query management.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Metals Desk during APAC hours to ensure trades are processed and settled in a timely manner. (including confirmations, settlements and reconciliations)
  • Address related queries, requests and issues internal stakeholders and clients, ensuring timely responses or escalations as needed.
  • Serve as the main communication hub between the desk and the global operations team during APAC hours.
  • Work with the Global Operations team to enhance control and mitigate risk.
  • Provide operational coverage to other asset classes (ie Foreign Exchange and/or Derivatives) as directed by local head/ team manager.
  • Update / maintain procedural documents and provide training to the team for coverage purposes as needed.

SKILL SET

  • 2 years of operations or related experience within the metals business.
  • Working knowledge of the precious metals trade lifecycle (allocated & unallocated)
  • Ability to work independently during APAC hours(APAC Holidays) and manage multiple tasks under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Experience working with global teams and coordinating across multiple time zones.
