OPERATIONS ANALYST

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an operations or support role within investment management, asset management, or financial services.
  • Experience with implementing or supporting systems (Calipso), technology, and process improvements is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and trade lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of trade processing, trade settlement, reconciliation, and financial data management.

Responsibilities:

ROLE:

This all star firm is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Analyst to join our investment management firm. This role will involve supporting the front office while assisting with the implementation of new systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in implementing new systems and platforms within investment management, ensuring they align with operational needs and business goals. Optimize existing processes by collaborating with internal teams to document workflows and drive improvements.
  • Provide operational support to the front office, handling tasks such as trade reconciliation, settlement support, and data management. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of key data across systems and resolve discrepancies.
  • Oversee daily reconciliations of positions, cash, and P&L, ensuring accurate reporting and collaborating with front office teams to resolve issues. Prepare timely, accurate reports for internal and client use, ensuring they reflect operational activities and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls, identifying areas for improvement. Document workflows, create training materials, and train employees on systems and best practices.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to ensure smooth operations and troubleshoot issues. Provide ad-hoc support for senior management and other departments, including special projects and process improvements.
