Job Description Responsibilities You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes: Maintain strict access and egress control measures to prevent unauthorised entry. Oversee security, communication, and fire/life safety systems using designated monitoring tools. Manage authorised access to data halls via the visitor management system. Monitor and respond to alarms, dispatch personnel as required, and document all incidents. Professionally handle multi-line telephone calls and dispatch security resources via radio. Prepare detailed written reports, including Critical Incident Reports, Security Check-In logs, and pass-down logs. Act as a proactive team member during incidents, taking notes, communicating updates, and providing relevant information to management. Report building utility, service, and life safety issues to appropriate responders and management. Dispatch patrol officers to check and secure access areas and respond to incidents. Maintain comprehensive logs and reports to ensure all stakeholders are informed of significant events. Qualifications What we’re looking for: We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have: Valid SIA Licence Excellent verbal and written English language skills. Minimum of a secondary school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 12 months’ experience in the security industry or relevant combination of education and experience. Familiarity with Security Operations Centre environments, Visitor Management Systems, CCTV systems, and alarm systems (intruder and fire). Strong orientation towards client service and effective communication with colleagues and clients. Ability to troubleshoot, manage time effectively, and stay organised. Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Basic proficiency with computer functions and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing, maintain a clear criminal record, and meet right-to-work requirements in the UK. Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence for any gaps (unemployment, education, self-employment).
