Weiss Asset Management (WAM), a Boston-based investment firm, is seeking an ambitious Operations Analyst to join our operations team. A successful candidate will have strong reading comprehension and analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to learn on the job. The Analyst should be reliable, organized, and possess an eye for detail, while also demonstrating strong quantitative skills. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of previous operations, accounting, or other investment support experience. Experience with public credit operations is a plus, but not a requirement. Responsibilities: Oversee derivative operations, including processing, confirming, and reconciling derivative trades. Coordinate trade settlements to ensure timely and accurate execution, working closely with counterparties and custodians. Perform account reconciliation tasks to verify the accuracy and completeness of transactions. Accurately book investment related trades and activity adhering to established procedures and guidelines. Communicate and partner with the investment and treasury teams to ensure alignment of operational activities with investment strategies.
