About the role The Operations & Administration Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the effective day-to-day functioning of Children’s Ground’s Top End office and in supporting broader administrative and operational coordination across the region. Sitting between direct administrative support and operational delivery, this role provides logistical, administrative, and coordination support to teams and projects. About you You are a highly organised and proactive professional who thrives in dynamic, culturally diverse environments. You’re confident managing logistics, supervising staff, and juggling multiple priorities with precision and care. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to build strong relationships across teams and with external stakeholders. You’re tech-savvy, comfortable navigating digital platforms. Most importantly, you’re passionate about contributing to long-term, community-led change and supporting First Nations children and families to thrive. Key Responsibilities Ensure the smooth and culturally safe operation of the Top End office, including facilities, fleet, and security management. Provide high-level administrative support to senior leaders, including scheduling, minute-taking, and system updates. Coordinate logistics for meetings, events, travel, and training across the region. Supervise and mentor junior administration staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment. Support operational projects, budget coordination, and reporting processes. Maintain and improve administrative systems and digital platforms (e.g. Salesforce, ApprovalMax, Hubdocs). Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders, including government and funding bodies. Contribute to WHS and risk management processes, including insurance claims and committee participation. Ensure data integrity and compliance with organisational standards and privacy requirements. Actively contribute to Children’s Ground’s mission, values, and long-term community-led change. Essential Key Selection Criteria A commitment to cultural safety, social justice, and working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Strong organisation and coordination skills in a fast-paced and culturally diverse setting. Competence in managing logistics, reporting and multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across teams and stakeholders. Ability to supervise and mentor junior administrative staff. Proficiency with administrative systems and digital tools (e.g. Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, ApprovalMax, Hubdocs).
