Description
Variety in every week - flexible work with a mix of office/home/on-farm days Career growth, training, and support from a collaborative, people-first team Competitive salary and benefits including health and life insurance Hands-on farming. Smart insights. Real impact THE OPPORTUNITY This is a hands-on, people-focused role where you’ll work shoulder to shoulder with Farm Managers and Business Managers to help our farms perform at their best. As a Pāmu Operations and Assurance Analyst, you’ll work across 22 farms in the South Island, supporting strong decision-making through accurate data, practical analysis, and well-run assurance programmes. You’ll help turn information into insight - and insight into action. You’ll spend a mix of time on farm (around 2–3 days a week) and working flexibly from home or a farm office. No two weeks will look the same. One day you might be reviewing livestock performance or animal health indicators, another you could be supporting farm teams with systems like Farm IQ, Farmax, Milkhub or MINDA, or coordinating training across the region. You’ll also play an important role in supporting safe, healthy and well-run workplaces - helping ensure training is completed and recorded, data is accurate, and improvement opportunities are identified and followed up. You’ll be part of a positive, open and honest team that values transparency, trust, and working together. We’re genuine people who like to be bold, share ideas, and keep improving how we do things. You’ll be supported by a caring manager, experienced colleagues, and specialists across the wider Pāmu business - while still having the autonomy to own your work. We offer flexibility, a supportive environment, career development opportunities, and a work vehicle (ute) for farm travel. Ideally, you’ll be based in Southland or Otago. ABOUT US Pāmu Landcorp Farming Limited is a State-Owned Enterprise with over 110 farms across New Zealand. Our purpose is to lead the delivery of innovative and sustainable agriculture solutions for future generations. ABOUT YOU You’re someone who enjoys working with people and data — and you’re comfortable moving between a computer, a meeting room, and a paddock. You might be a graduate with an agribusiness, agriculture, or related background, or someone with experience in farm systems, analysis, assurance, or operations. What matters most is your attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn. You: Enjoy building relationships and working collaboratively with farm teams Are organised, reliable, and care about getting the details right Feel confident gathering, analysing, and explaining data in a practical way Are comfortable being on farm and understand how farming environments work Are proactive - you notice issues, ask questions, and suggest improvements Value safety, wellbeing, and doing things properly You don’t need to know everything on day one. We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, open to learning, and keen to grow, with the confidence to contribute ideas and the humility to learn from others. If you’re looking for a role where your work genuinely supports people, animals, and farm performance - and where flexibility and trust are part of how we operate - we’d love to hear from you. We’re proud to have a supportive and inclusive culture at Pāmu, and we encourage applications from people who share our values – even if you don’t tick every box. BENEFITS You’ll have access to a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your wellbeing and long-term success. This includes health and life insurance, enhanced parental leave benefits, up to 4% KiwiSaver matching, an additional day of leave over Christmas, and ongoing training and development opportunities. APPLY NOW Applications close midnight Sunday 22 March 2026. We will be interviewing applicants as they apply.
