ABOUT SECOR:

SECOR, a leading distributor of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe and McElroy fusion equipment, as well as a trusted manufacturer of custom-fabricated fittings, is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Operations and Facilities Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in process improvement and a strong track record of effective leadership to support growth and operational excellence.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Operations and Facilities Manager oversees all aspects of company facilities operation, maintenance, and improvement, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and fully functional to support business activities. This role is responsible for managing building systems, equipment, infrastructure, and service contracts, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards. The Operations and Facilities Manager also manages fabrication and machine operator personnel, ensuring that equipment is operated safely, efficiently, and in accordance with production and quality requirements. This position leads maintenance teams, fabrication/machine operators, and contracted service providers, while coordinating with health & safety, procurement, and other departments to optimize facility performance and cost efficiency.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years of facilities management or related experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience leading both maintenance teams and machine operators.
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication processes, machinery, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership role, managing a team, maintenance planning, and production support.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance systems and production scheduling tools.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ensure adherence to operational protocols, standard operating procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Optimize workflow and utilization of resources (personnel, equipment, and materials) to meet operational needs and deadlines.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and fire protection) to address issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure facilities support operational and business requirements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and facilities records, including inspections, service logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Escalate facility, equipment, or safety issues to management as required.
