POSITION DESCRIPTION

The TeamQRT Operations Assistant Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager,
TeamQRT, and is generally responsible for the following:
This position is “hands-on” and is not eligible for remote work.

SKILLS & PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

• CDL License Required, Class B
• People management skills (strong communication, patience and flexibility needed
• Log Book, FMCSA knowledge and some mechanical skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations. Maintain positive work atmosphere
• Ability to solve problems and think quickly under pressure

• Foster and maintain a safe working environment
• Responsible for assisting with all requests for deliveries, organizing and prioritizing deliveries with dispatcher on a daily basis
• Give out paperwork and coordinates drivers in the mornings
• Connect vans, help with any repairs needed, ensure proper fuel amounts
• In the mornings, if there are any driver issues or call outs, coordinate with the Operations Manager/Dispatcher to schedule an alternative driver immediately and updates office upon opening
• Documents any bus changes and reports for changes to be made in computer, in transit emails and invoicing
• Completes PDI and move units to outside vendors or to Mendenhall
• Trouble shoots any bus issues with drivers and/or coordinates towing for breakdowns and determines driver breakdown return home
• Some weekend mornings and night breakdown “on call” duties, as needed
• Organizes inventory of units at TBB, ensures units are released and not on hold
• Have any repairs completed, if needed
• Stage buses for the next day by customer, (convoy) label bus with drivers name
• Provides driver training on HDX units
• Maintains relationships with dealers and TBB personnel
• Notifies dealers of buses coming ready for delivery and helps to “ready” buses when dealers have units that are on hold or have been delayed for numerous reasons
• Ready’s EV units for truck pick up and coordinating loading/charging of units
