We specialize in the development of innovative and customized dockside, road and rail handling solutions. Job Description Reporting to the Operations Manager the Operations Assistant supports the operations in their daily activities. The person is involved both in administrative tasks and in operational activities on the terminal, ensuring that operations run smoothly. The position is based in Thorold but requires working in our different terminals in Ontario when needed. Daily You Will: Maintain an accurate inventory of all domestic cargo using computer software and physical counting. Maintain accurate equipment usage logs in our ERP system (TC3). Maintain an orderly data base of customers and transport companies in our weighing system (SygmaScale). With time, become a superuser. Liaise with clients through email, text, phone call and face to face. Create invoices and ensure they are processed. Produce various operational reports. Ensure data control of our key indicator such as wind, rain, stockpile maintenance, etc. Maintain a cleaning schedule of equipment and facilities. Conduct HSSE compliance and Green Marine audits on a daily basis. Operate various equipment, such as forklifts, water trucks, track mobiles, trucks, trailers, power washers, and more. Assist the staff in preparation for vessel activity, including transfer from site to site. What You Need to Succeed: Diploma in logistics or business. 1-3 years of relevant experience. Ease with computers and the use of software. Proficiency in Excel. A valid driver’s license. Availability to travel to our different sites. Experience on forklift or other machinery (asset).
