Responsibilities

PURCHASING & PLANNING TASKS

  • Create POs; obtain vendor confirmations and ETAs; record promise dates in the ERP.
  • Expedite/defer lines based on backorder aging and customer priority; process daily direct-ship POs.
  • Maintain clean planning data (min/max, lead time, vendor part links) to keep stock flowing.

CUSTOMER CARE TASKS

  • Enter accurate sales orders from quotes/requests; prepare quick, clean quotes for stocked items and simple kits.
  • Own the main phone queue rotation: triage calls, provide order status, route technical questions, and log notes.
  • Send acknowledgments, update customers on ETAs/partials/ship-completes, and initiate RMAs when needed.

WAREHOUSE & LOGISTICS TASKS

  • Release pick waves by carrier cutoff, print paperwork/labels, and stage will-call orders.
  • Assist with put-away for priority receipts, perform cycle counts, and keep bins/labels tidy (5S).
  • Book inbound freight and schedule dock appointments; help pack small-parcel orders during spikes.
