POSITION SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to support the smooth functioning of various operational processes within an organization. The position typically involves a wide range of administrative tasks and responsibilities aimed at ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
Schedule: Day Shift
8 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience within the transportation industry preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work and learn in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and courteously with other staff.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively to accommodate a high-volume environment in order to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out administrative activities associated with manifesting for various loads.
  • Establish work priorities, processing shipments to brokers, and ensures deadlines are met.
  • Provide various types of office support such as responding to customer inquiries, maintaining customer accounts, processing applications for service.
  • Extensive contact and interaction with the public in situations requiring problem resolution, and duties which relate specifically to customer concerns.
  • Research and follow up on customer problems and respond to questions.
  • Obtain information from the customer to perform a requested task.
  • Tracing and producing P.O.D.’s for customers.
  • Calling customers to confirm delivery on unsigned bills.
  • Answering customer pick-up calls.
