JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a full time Operations employee who would work primarily as a freight broker and become proficient in the day to day task of operating a growing transportation company. These tasks would include:

• Taking freight orders from established customers
• Searching for and contracting with carriers
• Negotiating freight rates
• Dispatching carriers
• Anticipating and resolving potential customer service and carrier problems
• Tracking shipments
• Generating sales leads

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems
• Superior communication skills
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Willingness to learn
• No transportation experience required.
