Description

We are seeking a sharp, execution-driven Operations Associate to join the team at Pheratech Systems. This role is critical to helping the company scale: across internal ops, growth, B2B execution, and special projects. You’ll work directly with the CEO and act as a force multiplier for high-priority initiatives.
The ideal candidate is former military, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and hungry to grow into a Chief of Staff or strategic leadership role. If you’re looking for exposure to every part of a startup from fundraising to federal contracts to autonomous systems: this is the role.

EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience in military operations, leadership, or strategic planning preferred
  • Experience working in startups, defense, autonomy, or logistics-heavy environments is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required — you’ll be writing on behalf of the founder and the company
  • Familiarity with internal ops, CRM tools, project management systems, and fast-paced environments
  • Bonus if you’ve worked on external-facing projects (e.g. partnerships, gov capture, GTM, BD, or customer success)
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, pressure, and speed — we operate in startup time
  • High-trust, low-ego, execution-first mindset — you lead by doing
Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations, ensuring internal projects, workflows, and priorities stay aligned and on track
  • Drive external execution, including B2B pipeline building, partnership outreach, and coordination with key customers and agencies
  • Handle investor and board prep, including materials, metrics tracking, and follow-ups
  • Own logistics across hiring, scheduling, product testing, event coordination, and operational systems
  • Collaborate with technical, marketing, and field teams to ensure execution across product rollouts and deployments
  • Draft communications: internal memos, investor updates, pitch content, and operational documentation
  • Support growth ops, including CRM upkeep, lead tracking, and product feedback from customers and field pilots
  • Manage early vendor relationships, onboarding, and contracts
  • Support product and deployment cycles, including testing coordination, logistics, and special projects
  • Run special projects as needed: from DHS proposal drafts to field gear sourcing to process design
