Description

Our client, a well-established hedge fund, is seeking a highly skilled operations professional to support front-office teams and key stakeholders in a dynamic financial environment. This position involves serving as a key connector between business units, technology teams, external partners, exchanges, brokers, and custodians to oversee the full trade lifecycle. Responsibilities encompass trade entry, matching, confirmations, clearing, settlement, ongoing management, reconciliations, and risk controls. The role offers exposure to diverse asset classes, particularly fixed income, futures, options, and interest rate swaps. Additionally, you’ll contribute by enhancing processes and controls for current and emerging operations, while fostering innovation and curiosity in a fast-paced setting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a prestigious university or equivalent institution.
  • 3-7 years of experience in Operations roles within top-tier financial institutions
  • Solid understanding of fixed income and interest rate instruments, including their post-trade processes.
  • Superior organizational abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities under pressure and devise inventive approaches to challenging problems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, coupled with a proactive mindset, enthusiasm for change, meticulous accuracy
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data analysis/visualization tools

Responsibilities
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of the complete trade process, including confirmations, affirmations, custody, settlement, central clearing procedures, and after-trade oversight.
  • Manage risk in post-trade activities, such as confirmations and settlements for fixed income cash and repo deals, along with affirmations, clearing, and reconciliations for interest rate derivatives.
  • Work closely with internal teams, clearing house, clients, and brokers to identify and resolve operational challenges, conduct root-cause analyses, and establish safeguards against future issues.
  • Team up with interdisciplinary groups to advance technology and workflows, promote operational expansion, and coordinate project goals, schedules, and outcomes.
  • Apply data-based insights by creating performance trackers, key indicators, and analytical tools to evaluate efficiency, detect problems, and inform strategic choices.
