Your team

You will join the Trade & Fund Support Team within Asset Management Japan, which is responsible for trade support and fund accounting operations for ITM funds and mandate accounts managed in Japan. The team supports the stable and efficient operation of the business by working closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders:

• Work closely with internal teams in Japan, including Sales, Product, Investment, Reporting, and Compliance
• Collaborate with overseas operations teams involved in trade execution and post-trade processing
• Communicate with external parties such as trust banks, custodians, auditors, and service providers
• Partner with IT teams on system-related operational support and process improvement initiatives

Your expertise

Required qualifications:

• Around 2–3 years of experience in trade support or operations within a financial institution or service provider (or a strong interest in pursuing a career in financial operations)
• Basic understanding of financial instruments, including equities, bonds, FX, futures, and options
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English with the ability to read, write, and conduct basic communication
• Practical Excel skills for daily operational work
• Strong motivation to learn, develop operational expertise, and grow within the team over the long term

Preferred qualifications:

• Working experience in trade support within an asset management company or trust bank
• Basic knowledge or hands-on experience in fund accounting
• Experience using T-Star/TX and/or FAIMS, or interest in Excel automation, Excel VBA, or process improvement initiatives
• You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
