About the Role Role Summary The Operations Clerk plays a key role in supporting vessel operations through accurate documentation, timely reporting, and close coordination with terminals, vessels, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient port and operational activities. The Operations Clerk is responsible for monitoring vessel movements, preparing and updating operational documentation, supporting vessel husbandry requirements, maintaining operational reports, and coordinating with terminals, port authorities, suppliers, and internal teams. The role requires accuracy, responsiveness, teamwork, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic shipping and port operations environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare vessel load plans and coordinate with the central planner, terminal, and vessel before operations commence Provide discharge and stowage plans and support daily coordination of vessel operations with terminals Update daily operational reports, berth reports, departure files, and fleet portal information accurately and on time Coordinate vessel husbandry requirements, crew changes, and related support during port stay Report additional operational or husbandry costs and provide supporting details to the finance department Prepare and share ETA information, berth positions, tide charts, and other required operational information Liaise with internal stakeholders, port and terminal authorities, statutory authorities, suppliers, and vendors Support cargo or container surveys and perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Manager Qualifications & Experience Degree or High School Diploma More than 2 years of experience in a similar capacity is desirable Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Exposure to shipping, port, terminal, or vessel operations is an advantage Skills & Competencies Proficiency in written and spoken English Strong customer focus and service orientation High level of accuracy and quality orientation Dependability and ability to contribute effectively to team success Openness to change and commitment to self-improvement Good data management and Microsoft Office skills Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders Our company provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
