Job Overview
Swift Temps are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations Clerk to join our clients team based in Runcorn
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role as an operations clerk in supporting our administrative functions, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.
This role does not have any management responsibilities, but it will involve working closely with the shift manager and transport supervisor. The role is critical to the day-to-day operational needs.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in various office software applications but not be afraid to get stuck in to support other areas.

Duties

  • Perform general clerical duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Responsible for invoicing for all customers deliveries. Internal and 3rd party transport.
  • Taking receipts and booking in of all goods in stock
  • Taking booking slots for all goods in suppliers
  • Interacting with all drivers, goods in and goods out
  • Timing out of vehicles via transport system
  • Liasing with on-site customers with any goods in/goods out queries via emails and phone calls, ensuring professional phone etiquette at all times
  • Ensure that all administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner to support overall business operations.
  • If needed, to cover other shifts by working overtime at enhanced rate.

Who will you be working with?

  • You will be communicating with transport department, working to transport handovers, daily communication regarding goods out and any vehicle related issues.
  • Working with WH Op loaders, produce all loading sheets for loader and work with them to ensure correct loads are loaded regarding all paperwork.
  • Working with the other 2 clerks to work as a team. Complete shift handovers and work together to ensure all goods out / in is completed.

The hours of work will be on a 3 shift weekly rotating pattern Monday to Friday of 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am.
The role follows the same shift pattern as the warehouse but is mainly office based with some light decanting of boxes.
The hourly pay rate on all 3 x shifts is £12.80 per hour. (Overtime hours paid at a premium)
