Jongor Hire is a family business which supplies hire equipment to events such as Cheltenham Gold Cup, Silverstone and The BRIT Awards, to supplying temporary kitchen units to the NHS and National Grid. We are looking for a highly organised Operations Co-Ordinator who will oversee the day-to-day building management function and support the engineering department with parts ordering.
The role is based at our warehouse in central Bristol. Hours are 07:30 – 16:00 Monday to Friday. There maybe some requirements to work outside these hours for business need (for example testing equipment prior to opening hours), this is not the normal.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Experience in Facilities Management is desirable but not essential
· An interest in facilities and engineering is essential
· Experience in the event and/or catering industry desirable but not essential
· Experience of Microsoft applications including Outlook and Excel is essential, and experience of stock order systems is desirable
· Strong planning and organising skills
· Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences, internal and external to our business both over email and via the phone
· Ability to problem solve, think on your feet in a high pressured and fast changing environment
· Highly organised
· Able to occasionally work flexible hours to support the business needs where needed to support out of hours contract work

Providing facilities management for our all Jongor properties including:
· Overseeing all building maintenance including tenders and ensuring the safe work of contractors eg annual safety checks, repairs and renewals, external gardening, refuse and recycling, IT infrastructure
· Maintenance and testing of the fire & intruder alarms, emergency lighting, door entry, electrical and heating systems in line with statutory requirements in our Bristol warehouses and oversee London warehouse.
· Manage the Fire Warden register, ensuring all Fire Wardens are adequately trained and co-ordinating the fire evacuation procedures, including periodic testing.
· Assist the Health & Safety Manager with the Fire Risk Assessments and any associated actions
Provide administration assistance to the Head of Operations by:
· Supporting with maintenance parts and product ordering
· Managing the calibration of all test equipment used by engineering
· Co-ordinating the ordering of refrigeration gas supplies
· Co-ordinating the ordering, deliver and collection of event site utilities such as LPG gas and fresh water supply systems
· Co-ordinating the purchasing of hire equipment including POs and good received processes
· Managing the supply of product packaging and associated costs such as blue tickets and labels
· Making cost-effective and timely hotel bookings for operational team members where needed
· Ad hoc requests for information such as meter readings, recycling figures
Supporting the wider business by:
· Dealing with computer and IT related equipment and liaising with suppliers onsite
· Project support for facilities related issues such as broadband and phone systems.
