Position: Operations Coordinator | Location: Milton, ON (401 & James Snow Parkway)
Overview: MTB Transit Solutions is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day operations and ensure smooth communication between customers, technicians, and internal teams.
You will be responsible for performing various tasks to support the day-to-day operations for the management team and company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent; legally able to work in Canada and communicate in English.
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow processes.
· Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
· Understanding of automotive systems, parts, repairs, and ability to read defect lists and technical notes; experience with schematics is an asset.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable using maintenance or inventory management software (training provided).
· Proactive problem-solver who can follow up independently.
· Able to stand and bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

· Manage maintenance-related emails, keeping relevant parties informed and forwarding or escalating messages as needed.
· Accurately enter any additional customer notes into the maintenance management system, summarizing key points.
· Track work orders and defect lists, updating files, notifying supervisors and technicians to ensure they have the most current information.
· Maintain awareness of vehicles in the shop and track part orders, following up with the Parts Department on any pending or delayed updates.
· Monitor repair and completion timelines, providing updates to internal teams and customers.
· Conduct daily yard inspections to verify and update vehicle inventory records.
· Coordinate with bus drivers for daily pickups and deliveries.
· Provide ongoing operational support to the Management team, with responsibilities evolving over time to include a variety of tasks as needed.
