Description
Assists in the planning and directs all activities including receiving, shipping, customer returns, accurate inventory management and administrative functions within the controlled substance (CS) cage/vault. Ensures the efficient organization and layout of the DEA cage area by optimizing processes for receiving, picking, packing, and shipping customer orders while maintaining compliance with all governmental agencies and their regulations. Primary point of contact for all inquiries regarding the receiving, shipping and warehousing of controlled substances. Works with internal partners (Sales, Regulatory and Quality Affairs, Purchasing). Answers questions and provides information to resolve any outstanding issues in a timely manner. Pro-actively communicates issues to appropriate individuals which many include: Customers, Sales, Purchasing, and Distribution Center Management. Reviews current or future trends that indicate possible gaps in CS processes and makes recommendations based on findings. Assists in conducting weekly status meetings with management team to review performance and to develop action plans. Supervises the controlled substance team. This includes but is not limited to, performance management, attendance management, training, employee engagement and retention, and employee development.
