YOUR ROLE

As an Operational Controlroom Specialist, you are responsible for creating a continuous flow between various operational departments. In the role of Operational Control Room Specialist, you have a key position within the logistical operation. Together with your colleagues in the Controlroom, the beating heart of the operation, you have the task to make every day a success in the operation.
Based on the production plan, you oversee the operation and when there are deviations in the plan regarding incoming goods and outgoing orders, you make the necessary adjustments. You generate pick batches and ensure that items reach the packing department on time.
You will work in an enthusiastic team that consists of an Operational Controlroom Specialist, Process Controlroom Specialist, Equipment Controlroom Specialist, and IT Controlroom Specialist. Additionally, you will have frequent contact with Team Leaders and Team Coordinators in the warehouse. You will work in three shifts in our warehouse in Bleiswijk: a day shift, a late shift and a night shift (once per 5 weeks). Our warehouse in Bleiswijk is 140,000 square meters and is the most automated warehouse in the Netherlands!

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Make pick batches to ensure the operation has the correct buffers.
Monitor the continuous flow in the warehouse system.
Provide the operation with an hourly update based on performance monitoring.
Communicate with the operation regarding workload distribution and necessary adjustments to different flows, parameters, and stations.
Responsible for allocating resources, workstations, and machinery based on the production plan.
