JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE The Operations Specialist supports and enhances Excelta’s day-to-day operational performance. This role will play a critical part in inventory control, procurement support, and logistics coordination, while driving process improvements across the organization. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment, is highly organized, and brings hands-on experience with ERP systems, inventory management, and cross-functional coordination. KEY COLLABORATORS Manufacturing Director of Operations Sr. Operations Manager KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Analyze operational workflows within inventory, logistics, manufacturing and procurement to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction. Support inventory management processes, including cycle counts, reconciliation, and material tracking to ensure accuracy and availability. Collaborate with procurement, production, and quality teams to ensure timely availability of materials and smooth workflow execution. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and material shortages. Assist in the development, documentation, and enforcement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with quality and compliance standards. Support purchasing and planning functions by coordinating requisitions, supplier communication, and material flow. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, 5S, Kaizen) to enhance operational performance. Maintain accurate records and documentation within ERP and warehouse management systems. Support cross-functional projects by coordinating timelines, tracking deliverables, and communicating with stakeholders. Support project management efforts by coordinating resources, timelines, and stakeholder communications. Conduct regular audits of operational processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Other Duties: Other duties as assigned. Requirements PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or equivalent work experience. Experience, Skills, Capabilities: 2+ years of experience in operations, process improvement, or a related area. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, including Excel and project management software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Experience in a fast-paced environment and familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and drive change initiatives. Proficient in using project management tools (e.g., Asana) and data visualization software (e.g., PowerBI). Understanding of ERP systems and operational software solutions. Familiarity with compliance regulations and quality management systems. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and foster positive relationships with team members.
