Job Title: Operations Coordinator
Department: SOCC
Location: Edmonton, AB (YEG)
Work Arrangement: This role is primarily based in an office environment

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of SOCC and Planning, the Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing day-of operations and crew scheduling. Must be prepared to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and shifts during afternoons and nights, as dictated by service needs. The work environment is characterized by its fast pace, reliance on meeting deadlines, and constant change. Overtime may be necessary. Daily tasks include frequent sitting, typing, filing, phone work, and using standard office equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education:High school diploma or GED equivalent

    • Experience:
  • Previous Airline Operations Centre or Airport Operations experience is an assetKnowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR’s) as they apply to 705 operations is preferred


    • Skills & Abilities:

    • Ability to effectively perform in a high-stress, deadline-driven, and dynamic work environment while prioritizing tasks and assignments
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is essential
    • Must be able to read, understand and apply CARs regulations, related legislation, and company policies and procedures
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain organized workflow
    • Strong communications skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
    • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to make informed decisions regarding scheduling and fulfilling customer requirements for charters and other flights

        • Ability to work irregular hours or shift work that may include overnights, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a schedule that varies

        • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction
