JOB OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the General Manger, the Logistics Business Analyst (OC III) is responsible for partnering with logistics teams and customers to manage timely supply chain coordination’s, customer communication and billing, as well as serve a central coordinator for all stakeholders. The Logistics Business Analyst provides support for inbound and outbound logistical operations, coordinates inventory management, warehousing, and transportation activities to optimize operations and minimize costs.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of experience working within the logistics, transportation, and warehouse spectrums.
  • Knowledge of supply management principles and practices.
  • Familiar with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Yard Management Systems (YMS).
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency (eg. create an Excel pivot table).

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Collect, analyze, and prepare customer billing data in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations.
  • Ensure premises, assets, and communication ways are used effectively.
  • Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures.
  • Manage incoming calls and customer service inquiries.
  • Identify and assess customer needs to exceed satisfaction.
  • Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs.
  • Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction.
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
  • Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
  • Prepare accurate reports for upper management.
  • May perform customer billing functions such as:
  • Collaborate with finance and sales professionals to maintain accounts receivable.
  • Compile and process information such as prices, discounts, shipping rates, etc.
  • Ensure customers are billed correctly for services offered.
  • Participate in cross-training and other projects as assigned by supervisor.
