About the Job The purpose of the Operations Coordinator position is to oversee inventory, logistics, quality, environmental compliance, safety reporting and accounting duties. They will provide support to the Operations group and Trucking group in Vicksburg. * Review current inventories and provide weekly inventory reports to all involved in supply chain. Attend weekly inventory meetings via Microsoft Teams with regional terminals. Coordinate barge loading, shipping and offloading, hydrate production, truck loading, and maintenance activities to meet various internal and external customer demands. * Train process techs to inspect and report damage to barges. Ensure barges are well maintained and in safe operation. Review weekly barge inspection forms. Coordinate barge repairs with contractors. Coordinate railcar movement with local rail service. Maintain records for barge and railcar tracking. * Performs accident investigations while adhering to all OSHA requirements and regulations. Perform periodic safety audits and enter information into KPA. Maintains Safety Records for Employees, visitors and contractors. Performs Method 9 inspection as required by Air Permit. Schedule annual VGP Permit inspections and periodic condition inspections. * Obtain equipment parts and contractor quotes as needed. Generate purchase request documents for contractors, equipment rentals, maintenance materials. Pick up parts and supplies as needed. Check in supplies and parts. Receive parts in IFS and print inventory parts tags as needed. * Review & approve variances on invoices submitted for payment. Review variances for all freight related invoices for barge, truck and railcar shipments. * Schedule and arrange meetings with visitors, vendors and employees. Arrange for caterers as necessary for meetings. * Provide back up support to Plant Superintendent when absent. * Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities as needed. Required Qualifications * Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred. * Experience: 5-10 years of administration experience required * Knowledge: Knowledge of safety, environmental, negotiating, state and federal environmental regulations, and lean manufacturing preferred. * Skills: Must be proficient in Windows OS, Microsoft Office software, Outlook * Abilities: Ability to prioritize, plan, and schedule * Behaviors: Individual must be self-motivated; able to work with the empowered team mode * Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
