Operations Coordinator coordinates, ,monitors and assists with improving service activities for an organziation or group. Provides support to operations personnel and ensures services are effective and customer Requirements: and requests are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and coordinate initial training as required for all new facility staff
- Assist customer service with operational inquiries and communicate customer requirements staff levels via the operation team
- Document and maintain all SOP compliance records for the staff at the facility
- Data entry of DVIRs into fleet management system
- Filing and maintenance of drivers’ logs, run sheets and DVIRs
- Assist Operations Managers with various day to day activities
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Filing, scanning and processing of work orders, waste transportation and lab analysis documentation as needed
- Assist purchaser with procurement and receiving/distribution of tools/supplies to staff
- Assist with maintenance of supplies inventory including physical counts, storage and replenishment
- Assist purchaser with purchasing inquiries and communication with suppliers
- Filing and documentation of purchasing receiving paperwork
- Process monthly waste inventory accruals
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- College Diploma or University Education
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in office administration, experience in transportation or waste management industry setting would be an asset;
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety, Ministry of Transportation would be an asset
- Minimum intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
- Minimum 65 WPM typing speed with accuracy
- Effective verbal and written communicator;
- Ability to prioritize work activities and use time efficiently
- Ability to manage change, delays, or unexpected events and work in an environment with constant change
- Strong initiative and personal drive to complete tasks with limited oversight
- Must be motivated, able to multi-task, and work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be detail oriented and results oriented;
- Ability to design and execute work & project plans;
- A professional, courteous and welcoming manner – both in person and on the telephone
- Valid Driver’s License with personal vehicle with occasional travel
- Business administration and experience with financial statements preferred
