Operations Director – Lead, Innovate & Drive Excellence- Manufacturing
Salary: £110,000 with a £6k car allowance
Location: North West- Lytham
Role: Full-time, Permanent- Fully office based

This role will be suitable for a candidate with a manufacturing background either in food/drink or any FMCG products which are highly regulated
Our client is a highly successful business with global reach, I am looking for an Operations Director to join the leadership team and spearhead the next stage of our clients growth journey.

What you’ll be doing

  • Taking overall responsibility for manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and quality assurance across operations.
  • Managing/Direct Reports: Production Manager and Planner, Facilities Manager, Logistics Manager, Fleet Manager, Group Manager, Head of Engineering.
  • Driving operational strategy to support ambitious business growth.
  • Leading a talented team with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations while maintaining a reputation for world-class quality.
  • Collaborating closely with the board to shape the future of the business.

What our client are looking for

  • A proven track record in operations leadership at Director level (ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, or pharmaceuticals).
  • Strong background in supply chain, production planning, and process optimisation.
  • A natural leader who inspires, motivates, and develops high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to deliver results in a hands-on environment.
  • Experience in a food/medical/consumables regulated industry would be a distinct advantage.

  • Salary £110,000 + discretionary annual bonus scheme.
  • Company car allowance (£500 per month) £6k per annum
  • Monday–Friday role: 40 hours per week (8–5 or 7–4) flexibility required
  • Fully on-site (candidates need to be within 1 approx. hour’s commute of location)
