Company Description Independent, family-owned luxury boutique resort in Zanzibar, member of Relais & Châteaux and awarded 1 Michelin Key, is seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead day-to-day resort operations and uphold the highest standards of service and guest experience. The Operations Director has overall responsibility for the daily operations of the resort. This is a hands-on, on-site leadership role, with strong presence on the floor and close cooperation with ownership. Job Description Key Responsibilities: - Oversee daily operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Spa, Watersports Center, Shop and Guest Experience - Ensure villas are fully prepared and compliant with standards prior to guest arrivals - Maintain consistent service standards and guest journey quality - Lead, train and support department heads and operational teams - Supervise on-site operational cost control, procedures and inventories - Ensure transparent communication and regular reporting to ownership - Coordinate closely with the Finance Director and Maintenance Director, operating on the same hierarchical level and reporting directly to ownership The Property: 23 keys (20 villas and 3 rooms), 4 hectares, 200 m beachfront. Qualifications Profile: The candidate should have experience in luxury hospitality and multi-department operational leadership. Ideally, the candidate will also have experience working in direct collaboration with ownership.
