Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assume responsibility of Operations Engineer Chief during the Chief’s absence.
  • Assist Operations Engineer Chief or Custodial Specialist in maintaining the facility and/or facilities.
  • Provide direction and supervision to custodial staff assigned to building or facility.
  • Respond promptly to the needs of building administrator for night and day activities in the facility.
  • Assist the director of custodial services and custodial specialists in the annual performance evaluation of subordinate employees.
  • Perform all cleaning tasks required to maintain the facility.
  • Communicate with operations staff to ensure facility is properly heated, ventilated and maintained during night or day activities.
  • Provide leadership to ensure facility is secured each night to prevent lost of or damage to property, or failure of mechanical equipment.
  • Carry out all policies and procedures as set forth for building personnel in operations.
