Who We Are
Zinfra is a leading partner in the design, build, operation and maintenance of Australia’s energy and utilities infrastructure. Delivering a $1B portfolio annually, the work we do is essential to bringing energy to our communities safely and reliably, while powering the nation’s energy transition. With a diverse workforce of more than 2,300, we expertly deliver our services across Australia.
We’re looking for a proactive and purpose-driven professional to join our team and support the Engineering Lead in delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable energy outcomes. This is a role for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values clarity and integrity, and wants their work to truly matter.
You’ll help shape the performance of critical infrastructure by supporting the team to meet key operational goals—enhancing public and asset safety, ensuring reliability, and managing long-term performance and life cycle costs.

In this role, you’ll work across a variety of impactful activities, including:

  • Detailed Design Support – Contribute to the development and review of detailed designs, participating in HAZOP, HAZID, and SID workshops, collaborating across mechanical, SCADA, civil, commissioning, and other engineering disciplines to ensure robust, compliant solutions.
  • Asset Integrity & Performance Reviews – Assess asset performance and integrity, ensuring safety, reliability, and long-term sustainability.
  • Opportunity Briefs – Clearly define technical challenges and opportunities, helping bring structure and clarity to decision-making.
  • Options Assessments – Identify and evaluate risk-aware, practical solutions that enable informed, values-aligned choices.
  • Scope of Works Documentation – Translate technical insights into structured, actionable documentation to guide delivery teams.
  • Commissioning & As-Built Support – Assist in commissioning activities and ensure accurate as-built documentation to support smooth handover and future operations.
  • Documentation & Compliance Management – Maintain records, drawings, and compliance documentation to ensure audit readiness and long-term asset knowledge retention.

You’ll also build strong relationships across the business—engaging stakeholders with confidence, empathy, and professionalism to ensure shared success.
