Join our Water Networks team and play a hands-on role in protecting the health of our community and environment. We have two roles available, one in our northern team based at Rosedale and one in our central team based in Newmarket. These are varied, fast-paced engineering roles where your work has a visible, real-world impact every day. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team of experienced water engineers, with exposure to planning, operations, maintenance, and capital works across Auckland’s water network. If you enjoy problem-solving, variety, and contributing to critical infrastructure, this role offers both challenge and purpose. In this role, you’ll support the performance, reliability, and compliance of the water network. No two days look the same, and you’ll work closely with internal teams and external contractors to deliver practical outcomes. Key responsibilities include: Analysing fault and performance data to improve network reliability Supporting capital renewals and forward works planning Reviewing and monitoring critical infrastructure works delivered by internal and external contractors Responding to and managing network incidents Ensuring infrastructure meets current design standards and operational requirements Supporting environmental compliance and customer service KPIs Participating in a shared after-hours, on-call roster as required Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About you You’re a confident, solutions-focused engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and stays calm under pressure.
