DESCRIPTION

The Operations Engineering Manager will be a hands-on leader as they manage a team of highly skilled lab engineers. This customer-focused manager will collaborate effectively with partner teams, and will lead multiple concurrent projects, ensuring they are delivered with excellence. They will support the deployment, administration, and troubleshooting of devices at scale.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years managing a team
  • 5+ years experience administering software services in a Unix environment
  • Solid understanding of basic project management principles
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, to effectively partner with engineering teams and cross-functional partners
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible
  • BS degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent organization skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience working with operational tools such as Splunk
  • Understanding of LAN network infrastructure
  • Experience managing a datacenter or large-scale computer lab
  • Proficiency with Python, shell script, or similar
