- Use software to track, check, prioritize, and route orders.
- Manage important documents such as advanced shipping notices, pick slips, bills of lading, etc.
- Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment.
- Inspect labels, barcodes, and other order details.
- Supervise and lead junior staff (receiving clerks, order pickers, etc.).
- Control the shipping department budget.
- Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, and other managers.
- Resolve issues regarding shipped orders.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
- Report to management on operations and concerns.
- Handle inquiries and negotiate rates with agents.
- Provide timely quotations and work with internal systems.
- Coordinate with international agents and monitor shipments.
- Close jobs and follow billing procedures.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and smooth communication with all involved parties.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in shipping and logistics
- Experience in international freight forwarding and air freight
- Must have worked in an international shipping company
- Good command of the English language and computer literacy
