Description
The Company Tutor Intelligence is building the technology and processes to let robots go where they’ve never gone before: the average American factory. We understand that general-purpose and generally intelligent robots will be built in our lifetimes, and we’re combining human and artificial intelligence to lead the charge. As an MIT-founded AI software company that deploys its inventions directly into the facilities that need them—on state-of-the-art hardware—every role at Tutor has a direct impact on the global, physical economy. The Role We’re looking for a generalist who loves keeping things organized and running smoothly—someone who’s comfortable jumping between bookkeeping, vendor management, and general admin. This person will be the connective tissue between finance, operations, and the rest of the team. This is a high growth-potential role and a great fit for someone looking to get their foot in the door of operations at a fast-growing deep tech startup. \n Responsibilities Manage day-to-day finance operations: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense tracking Categorize and reconcile transactions in Ramp, Rillet, or similar finance tools Assist with monthly and quarterly closes—prepare summaries, verify receipts, match invoices, and maintain ledgers Coordinate with vendors and contractors: collect W-9s, track payments, manage renewals Coordinate with customer AP teams to assist with invoice payments Own company general purchasing and reimbursement workflows Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting Requirements Strong attention to detail and comfort working in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) Basic understanding of finance and accounting concepts (debits/credits, accruals, budgets, etc.) Excellent organization and communication skills Eager to learn, proactive, and comfortable figuring things out independently Interest in startups, operations, and seeing how a company actually runs day-to-day Nice to Have Experience using tools like Ramp and Rillet Prior internship or coursework in accounting, finance, or business operations Exposure to HR, payroll, or vendor management Familiarity with GAAP and cash vs. accrual accounting \n $70,000 - $100,000 a year All offers include generous equity, fully covered health + dental, and unlimited PTO. \n
