Job Description The Operations Finance Analyst plays a key role in supporting month-end close, operational decision-making, and financial insight across manufacturing and supply chain activities. This position partners closely with operations, procurement, and engineering to provide financial analysis that supports cost control, capital investment decisions, and make-versus-buy evaluations, while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance within the Accounting function. The ideal candidate for an Operations Finance Analyst would be able to do the following: Month-End Close & Financial Reporting Support monthly close activities related to inventory, operations, and fixed assets Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses Ensure operational transactions are accurately reflected in financial statements Partner with Accounting leadership to strengthen close processes and internal controls Operational & Decision Support Serve as a finance partner to Operations, supporting data-driven decision making Perform margin, productivity, and profitability analysis across products and processes Support make-versus-buy decisions through financial modeling and ROI analysis Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cost reduction and operational efficiency initiatives Participate in value engineering (VAVE), sourcing, and inventory optimization efforts Cost & Performance Analysis Analyze operational drivers impacting financial results (labor, materials, overhead) Develop and maintain financial models for new products, projects, and process changes Prepare and present insights that translate operational data into actionable financial outcomes Monitor headcount, staffing levels, and productivity trends impacting operations Fixed Assets & Capital Investments Support fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking Partner with Operations on capital investment evaluations and post-investment analysis Support capital expenditure forecasting, tracking, and compliance with policies Planning & Forecasting Support annual operational budgeting and forecasting processes Partner with Finance and Operations to align production plans with financial objectives Analyze forecast-to-actual performance and provide insights to leadership Qualifications For a candidate to be successful as a Operations Finance Analyst they must have: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or operations finance (manufacturing or distribution environment preferred) Strong understanding of financial statements, journal entries, and month-end close processes Experience partnering with operations or supply chain teams Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion Cloud experience a plus) Advanced Excel skills; experience with reporting or BI tools preferred Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business insights Effective communicator able to work cross-functionally Additional Information For more information about our benefits, job duties, and company values, go to https://www.alto-shaam.com/en Department: Finance
