JOB SUMMARY

The Operations Generalist is a key executive responsible for overseeing Milieu’s ongoing operational activities, aligning resources, processes, and teams with strategic objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Operations Generalist ensures seamless coordination across departments to optimize productivity and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with strong operational expertise and excellent management skills.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience with a strong background in operational management.
  • Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and managing complex business functions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to identify opportunities for process and performance improvements.
  • Experience managing large teams and leading organizational change initiatives.
  • Strategic thinker with solid problem-solving capabilities and adaptability in fast-paced environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in BC social service-specific operations and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with IT business intelligence tools and operational technologies.
  • Proven track record of successfully scaling operations in mature organizations.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the CEO to develop and implement the company’s vision, operational strategies, and goals.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments, including finance, marketing, stakeholder engagement, HR, and family and person-centered services.
  • Manage and optimize Milieu’s resources to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams to ensure productivity and employee engagement.
  • Work closely with the Director of Quality Assurance, Director of Youth Services, Health & Safety, People Services Director and the CEO to implement process improvements and policies that foster a strong company culture and operational excellence.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and guide corrective actions.
  • Manage budgeting, financial planning, and capital allocation to meet financial targets.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage operational risks.
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration to enhance communication and break down silos.
  • Represent the company with stakeholders and partners.
