Due to growth and demand in our Operations team, we are seeking a savvy project manager to step into the Operations Integration Manager position in this long-term fixed-term role until Dec 2029. Competitive package + KiwiSaver and FREE parking + 20% discounted childcare on the precinct 4-year fixed-term, full-time position until Dec 2029, flexible work arrangements Join a newly formed team here at AKL and become part of the transformation About the Role The Operations Integration Manager - Works across multiple infrastructure programmes and partners closely with our airport operations teams and eco-system partners (with focus on relevant government agencies). You may come from a background in Customs, Aviation Security, Immigration, MPI or similar. Relevant Airport operations or Border Agency experience is required for this position. What you will be doing Your key responsibilities are: Integrate border agency operational requirements into infrastructure projects by working closely with ecosystem partners, internal teams, and project stakeholders. Lead operational interfaces across multiple infrastructure projects, ensuring operational needs are clearly represented and understood. Manage stakeholder engagement, build strong relationships, chair/participate in forums, and communicate complex information clearly. Support programme coordination, including progress monitoring, risk identification, issue escalation, and preparing reports and updates. Drive continuous improvement, identifying better ways of working and remaining adaptable to changing priorities. Ensure compliance and governance, maintaining accurate documentation and aligning with policies and regulatory requirements. To ensure your success in this role, you will need: Previous Airport Operations or Border Agency experience is essential for this position. Degree qualification in commerce, business or other related field, or equivalent relevant experience. 5+ years' operational experience, ideally having exposure to infrastructure projects and programmes, in the airports, broader aviation, transport or social infrastructure environments Understanding of infrastructure project delivery and operational requirements. Experience working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and industry partners. Familiarity with documentation, compliance, and assurance processes.
