OPERATIONS INTERFACE DELIVERY MANAGER
We’re TransPennine Express and we’re going places. Whether that’s helping customers reach their destination, or ensuring our colleagues feel fulfilled and supported in their careers. We’re looking for people with drive and enthusiasm to join our amazing team and help push for more progress within the rail industry. We look forward to meeting new faces and eager minds, ready to join our mission of creating a better-connected network in the North and Scotland, for good.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a candidate holding driver competence, ideally with experience on TPE’s current traction and operating over the TPE network, preferably on routes within the TRU footprint. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the principles of railway operations and a proven track record in leadership and safety change projects. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about training, engagement, standards, processes and compliance, and who understands the principles and risks associated with infrastructure and operational change. There will be a requirement for applicants to demonstrate underpinning knowledge and previous experience in delivering operational change or associated activities.
If that sounds like the right fit for you, we’d love to hear from you, please click apply and complete an application form.
As an Operations Interface Delivery Manager, you will work within the Operational Interface & Safety Change team, which sits in the Delivery Partnership function in the Major Projects Directorate at TPE, to focus on the delivery of infrastructure change schemes as part of the TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU) - a programme of enhancement works to the railway network in the North of England. It is a consolidated programme of improvements and upgrades between Manchester Victoria & York via Stalybridge which will provide the capability to support future service aspirations on the route.
You will be providing subject matter expert advice on areas such as New Trains operational development, signal sighting, driveability and operational risk; as well as assisting in the creation and agreement of training material, route risk assessments and route learning packs for infrastructure change schemes. You will also be representing TPE at relevant internal and external infrastructure development forums, readiness and station related working groups to ensure the safe and timely delivery of infrastructure change schemes, as well as completing safety validations for the changes to ensure they are compliant to TPE and Rail Industry Standards.
