Description
Operations Intern (AI & Systems) Sure, the job description says “intern,” but this isn’t about shadowing or busy work. You’ll be stepping into real operational challenges and helping us rethink how the agency works, from systems and data to AI, training and internal tools. This role sits at the intersection of operations, technology and change management. You’ll help us move from fragmented, legacy systems to a more streamlined, AI-enabled environment, and bring people along in the process. What you’ll do * Clean up and improve how we work * Audit and organize file systems across Egnite and SharePoint * Identify outdated or redundant content and partner with teams on cleanup and migration * Support system transitions (e.g., password management, access tools) as needed * Help rethink and rebuild our intranet into a more intuitive, usable workspace * Turn repetitive processes into efficient, AI-supported workflows * Stay on top of emerging trends in AI and share what matters to the team * Identify opportunities to introduce AI into everyday workflows * Help build and test new AI-powered processes that improve efficiency * Support agency-wide adoption by making AI tools and resources approachable and useful * Create clarity through better knowledge management * Audit existing training materials (decks, videos, documentation) * Help consolidate and organize content into a single source of truth * Bring consistency to how we document and share knowledge across the agency Traits for success * You can translate complex ideas into simple, clear language * You’re technically fluent and comfortable working across systems, tools and data * You know that there’s an art to identifying the problem and asking the questions * You think in systems and enjoy bringing order to messy environments * You’re proactive, you don’t wait to be told what’s broken * You’re curious about AI and excited to apply it in practical ways * You’re comfortable working across teams and building alignment * You care as much about adoption as you do about implementation   What makes this role different This isn’t a traditional IT internship. You’re not just supporting systems, you’re helping rethink them. Success in this role isn’t just about what you build, but how well it gets used. That means balancing technical execution with communication, training and change management.   Success in this role looks like * You learning and experiencing a growth-mindset organization working to reshape ways of working * broadhead gaining: An increased set of AI-based resources to continue the transformation of our business; a more organized and usable file system across key platforms; increased adoption of AI tools across teams; a clearer, centralized source of truth for training and resources; measurable improvements in how teams access and use information Compensation Details: This is a paid internship: $20/hour for approximately 40 hours per week in-person at our Minneapolis office.
